The Camões Institute
Created in 1992, acting under the oversight of Portugal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Camões Institute provides scholarships to students, graduates and foreign researchers to study the Portuguese Language and Culture. These scholarship programmes are designed to promote the studies of the Portuguese Language and Culture for students, graduates and foreign researchers. It also answers in a reciprocal way the interchange consigned in the bilateral cooperation and specific protocols celebrated between Camões Institute, foreign institutions and universities.»
