Eloquence Competitions

Kyoto University of Foreign Studies

The “Portuguese Language Eloquence Competition for Japanese University Students” of Kyoto University of Foreign Studies was created in 1983 with the support of several organisms, mainly the Portuguese Embassy and the Honorary Consulates of Portugal in Japan, in cooperation with other organisms: the Camões Institute and the University of Macau. Throughout the years this competition has improved in quality and number of participants. Its value is highly recognized inside and outside Kyoto University of Foreign Studies as it plays an important role for the promotion of the Lusophone World the Language and Culture.

Kanda University of International Studies

The “Oratory Competition” of Kanda University of International Studies was created in 2004. The Camões Institute and the Portuguese Embassy of Portugal in Tokyo are associated to this eloquence competition since its second edition, awarding the Camões Institute / Portuguese Embassy Prize.
